Which roads these claims actually come from
Palm Beach County publishes the list of streets that produce its worst crashes. Across the ten cities here, 94 roads are on it.
The Palm Beach Transportation Planning Agency maintains a High Injury Network: the roadway segments carrying the heaviest concentration of fatal and serious injury crashes in the county. Its 2025 Vision Zero Action Plan puts that network at 130 corridors covering 276 miles and reports that 38 percent of fatal crashes and 36 percent of serious injury crashes happen on 4 percent of the county’s streets. Ninety-five percent of it is posted at 35 miles per hour or higher, and just over half is state road rather than city street. The most common fatal and serious injury crashes on it are angle, left turn and rear end collisions.
Every city page below lists its own corridors from that data, with what the county flags, the posted speed, the lane count and the agency responsible for the pavement — because who owns the road decides who can be sued if the road helped cause the crash.
| Boynton Beach | Thirteen roads on the network, led by Federal Highway, Gateway Boulevard and Boynton Beach Boulevard. Boynton Beach Police Department. Trauma to Delray Medical Center. |
| Greenacres | Ten roads, and eight of them flagged on every measure the county scores. Jog Road is the worst. PBSO District 16. Trauma to Delray Medical Center. |
| Lake Clarke Shores | One road inside the town — Forest Hill Boulevard, flagged on every measure, and the road everyone uses to leave. Lake Clarke Shores Police Department. Trauma to Delray Medical Center. |
| Lake Worth Beach | Ten roads, two of them posted at 25 and still flagged on every measure, because downtown the casualties are on foot. PBSO District 14. Trauma to Delray Medical Center. |
| Lantana | Five roads, and not one of them is a town street. Lantana Police Department. Trauma to Delray Medical Center. |
| North Palm Beach | Three roads, all of them state highways, led by Northlake Boulevard at six lanes. North Palm Beach Police Department. Trauma to St. Mary’s Medical Center. |
| Palm Beach Gardens | Seven roads, four of them flagged for bicycle crashes. PGA Boulevard is the longest stretch in the north county. Palm Beach Gardens Police Department. Trauma to St. Mary’s Medical Center. |
| Riviera Beach | Six roads, led by Blue Heron Boulevard, which the county flags three separate ways. Riviera Beach Police Department. Trauma to St. Mary’s Medical Center. |
| Royal Palm Beach | Four roads, every one posted 40 or higher and three at 50 or more. PBSO District 9. Which trauma center depends on which side of Southern Boulevard. |
| Wellington | Five roads, three of them maintained by the village itself, and all five flagged for crashes after dark. PBSO District 8. Trauma to Delray Medical Center. |
Two facts run across all ten. Florida has verified only two Level I trauma centers in Palm Beach County, Delray Medical Center and St. Mary’s Medical Center, and Palm Beach County Fire Rescue splits them at Southern Boulevard — St. Mary’s to the north, Delray to the south. And every one of these cities is in the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit, where county court handles claims of $50,000 or less under Florida Statute 34.01(1)(c)3 and everything above that is heard in circuit court at the Main Judicial Complex, 205 North Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach. Paul’s office is in that same downtown.
